  "Instantáneas #16" supone el final de una etapa de Manolo Rodríguez como guitarrista “al uso” . Manolo pasa unos años antes de esta grabación, remodelando, creando, o adaptando el lenguaje guirtarrístico que había adquirido en su etapa como músico de Jazz. En estos años se plantea un cambio de paradigma que afectará a su lenguaje, a su técnica y a su manera de concebir el instrumento. Recursos como la utilización de objetos, o un lenguaje interválico que se acomode a las nuevas posibles situaciones y a las nuevas ideas del músico ,generarán un mundo sonoro que le permitirá expresarse con ideas renovadas. En este disco se sumerge en el mundo del a improvisación libre con una alta dosis de creatividad, invención y atrevimiento.

  "Un disco en solitario es especialmente dificil como bien sabes. Creo que lo has bordado. Me gusta el lirismo y la vulnerabilidad emocional del nº 3 Invertebrados, pero me encanta el nº 8 xxl feldman. Es un placer oírte pensar con el oído, que indagues realmente en la materia con un planteamiento de tema y variaciones, dejandoles a las ideas espacio para respirar y para que el oyente pueda asirlas y sin permitir en ningún momento que tus más que hábiles manos piensen por tí. "
  
  "Instantáneas #16" marks the end of a period in Manolo Rodríguez's career as a "regular" guitarist. Manolo spent a few years before this recording, remodelling, creating or adapting the guitar language he had acquired during his time as a jazz musician. During these years, a change of paradigm was considered that would affect his language, his technique and his way of conceiving the instrument. Resources such as the use of objects, or an intervallic language that adapts to new possible situations and to the musician's new ideas, will generate a world of sound that will allow him to express himself with renewed ideas. In this album he plunges into the world of free improvisation with a high dose of creativity, invention and daring.
